Looking for more than just a lesson?  At Duck Mountain, we cater to the exclusive
needs of our customers and have developed program packages for all ages and
abilities.

 

 

Kamsack Ski Club Lesson Series


 

Ski & Snowboard Lessons 2011

Ages 5 – 13
Coaches provided by the Kamsack Ski Club
Up to 5 X 2 hour lessons provide
Saturday or Sunday mornings January / February /March

Never-ever’s (very beginners) will be offered a 1 hour lesson Saturday

afternoons.  These are group lessons.  Kids are grouped with others of

similar skills.

Skill improvement lessons & speed training:

Skiers with previous experience will be offered lessons to improve skills for half of
a 2 hour lesson period each week.  Ski lessons are 10AM – Noon

The second half of the ski lesson will be dedicated to skiing with speed while
maintaining control.  Kids are grouped with others of similar skills.  This training is
the basis for participation in the DART (Duck Mountain Alpine Race Team). 
NOTE:  Additional training for DART will be available Sunday afternoons of the
same weekends.

Snowboard lessons will be offered Sunday afternoons.

Lesson Dates:

Ski:  Saturday January 8, 16, & 22 / 2011 & Feb 5

Sunday Feb 27 / 2011

Snowboard: Sunday Jan 9, 16, 23 & February 6 & 27

Participation is encouraged for those ski athletes wishing to experience the
Nancy Greene Race events the weekends of Jan 29 & 30 and March 19 & 20 at
other Saskatchewan hills.

Lesson fees:

5 weekends of training $50 per child with two additional optional Nancy Greene
weekends (extra costs offset by Kamsack Ski Club, but some additional expenses
should be expected if your athlete is participating)

If both ski lessons AND snowboard lessons are desired, sign up for both for $75
per child.

The fine print….

-   the lessons are available  with your membership to the Kamsack Ski Club

-   a child’s club membership must be accompanied by a parental membership

-   $15 for the child + $15 for the parent

OR         $30 for a family of up to 4

 (extra family members above 4 @ $5 each)

-   a lift pass is required to access the hill each week.  The pass is the skiers
expense

-   Kamsack Ski Club will also provide use of shape skis or snow board for the
lesson.  Helmets must be worn during lessons.

SKI PATROL:

Why not earn your ski hill passes?  The Duck Mountain Ski Club is seeking any
persons wishing to volunteer to be part of the Duck's Ski Patrol.  Every Ski Patroller
received FREE day lift passes for being a volunteer.

 

SKI PATROL TRAINING:

First Aid Training for the Ski Hill Patrol will be begin at the end of October.  Any
persons interested in partaking in the training is to contact Kathy or Dale Nicholson
